PRIVACY & YOUR DATA

A plain-English overview of how the current CallAbroad app and this website handle information.

Updated 6 October 2026.

A simple website

This site does not add analytics scripts, advertising trackers or cookies. Cloudflare serves its static files and may process connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. We do not collect form submissions on this website.

The support form creates an email in your own mail application. You choose whether to send it. If you do, the information you include is shared with support so we can respond.

Signing in and verification

The app uses your email to sign in and your mobile number for verification and caller-ID eligibility. Email delivery and Telnyx verification services process the information needed to deliver codes and verify your number. Keep sign-in and verification codes private.

Referral features use account relationships, codes, verification status and qualifying purchase records to check eligibility and prevent duplicate or self-referral rewards.

Your address book stays on your iPhone

CallAbroad reads the Apple Contacts you permit and can save new entries to Apple Contacts. It does not upload or sync that address book to the calling backend, or import Google or Microsoft contacts.

The destination number you choose to dial must be sent to the calling service to place the call. This is separate from uploading your address book. You can change contact permission in iPhone Settings.

Making and managing calls

Calling services process destination numbers, account identity, call status, duration, credit transactions and verified caller-ID information to provide calling and account history. Telephony providers, including Telnyx, process the information needed to connect and manage calls.

Call history and credit records are held on the service. Purchase receipts and transaction information are used to validate purchases and maintain the balance when credit purchases become available.

Recordings, transcripts and summaries

Recording is optional and requires everyone’s permission. Available recordings are associated with the account that made the call. Playback audio is loaded into memory rather than automatically saved to Files or Photos.

If you request a transcript or AI summary, the recording is processed by Deepgram for transcription, and transcript content is processed by OpenAI for the summary. AI output can contain mistakes; check it against the conversation.

Where the app offers deletion, access is removed after the server confirms it, followed by storage cleanup. Calling-credit and consent audit records are maintained separately. Availability or expiry information is shown with the recording where applicable.

Questions, access and deletion

To ask about your information or request account deletion, contact [email protected]. Use the email associated with your account where possible. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request.

You can stop contact access through iOS settings and use the app’s available recording controls. Avoid sending sensitive call content or verification codes in a support message.
